Luciana was born at home in Rome through her father and mother - Luciana's father was Manlio Paoluzzi, an Italian army officer and her mother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was the one of Benito's mistresses. She does not have any known siblings. She attended a local high school. Upon graduation in 1955, she enrolled in navy engineering at the Scientific Academy of Milan - Luciana was the sole female in her class. Within two years she launched her career as a model However, that was changed when she was offered her first acting job in a chance encounter while visitng her father's friend in Rome she had a very brief two-line character on the screen in Three Coins in the Fountain which was the place where it all started. Her first husband was Brett Halsey who is also an actor. After the wedding in 1960 they recorded a film entitled Return to the Peyton Palace. Luciana had the custody of Charles, born 13 June 1961. The couple split the following year. Luciana and Tony Athony dated between 1962-1970. Tony Athony played an actor and producer inspired by Luciana's work on the film Green Slime. Based on this, he produced and created the Spaghetti Western hybrid that became popular.
