ndrea lee is a rising LPGA Tour Star, highlighted with her win in the first major event in the Portland Classic in 2022. Lee is a rising star at the top of the LPGA tour which was highlighted by her win in The 2022 Portland Classic. Lee also has won nine times throughout her college time during her time at Standford University and was ranked #1 worldwide for a period of 17 weeks. After winning the Mark H. McCormack Award for the highest ranked women's amateur worldwide at the conclusion of the season in 2019, Lee turned professional. Andrea Lee has made a name in professional golf as an amateur golfer. These are some facts you may not be aware of regarding the American LPGA Tour player. Andrea Lee was born on the 15th of August, 1998, in Los Angeles. James taught her to play golf since she was just 5 years old. At age 8 she started competing in tournaments and in just four years, won 50 Junior titles. She managed to make the cut at the 2014 US Women's Open, held at Pinehurst No. Her dad was her caddie, she was only 15 when this happened. She missed out on making her LPGA Tour cut at the 2015 ANA Inspiration by just one shot. Lee was a member of the United States' Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup, and women's World Amateur Team Championship. Following her admission to Stanford University in 2016 she became the top-rated athlete in the history of the university at that time when over the next three years she took home nine individual championships. Lee left Stanford University and turned pro in the year 2019. Her golfing career as an amateur saw her finish 17 weeks at the top of the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee was also awarded with the 2019 Mark H. McCormack Medal after finishing the season as the top-ranked amateur. Lee's amateur record comprised four holes in one as well as one albatross. Lee finished among Top 10 once in her debut year on the LPGA Tour. She placed 7th on Kingsbarns Golf Links in 2020 at the AIG Women's Open. Lee won her first LPGA Tour triumph at the Portland Classic in 2022. Lee dedicated her victory to her deceased grandfather Min. "He has always called me a champion, and he always believed in me."
