Sharni Vison, an Australian-American dancer and actress, was born 22 July 1983, in Sydney Australia. In 2001, Sharni was selected to appear in two episodes of the Australian Soap Opera Home and Away. She was chosen to be the leading character on the Australian soap opera Home and Away as her performance in this limited part was so impressive that casting agents sought her for the various parts. Though she was able to audition for the role, she wasn't chosen. Instead, she was cast in the show in the role of Cassie Turner, a disturbed girl within foster homes.
